Learning English after completing one’s education requires a special approach. Adults who are already professionally active and started families have limited time to spend on learning a new language.

We have developed an interactive English language course for adults – English Now! – that is designed for beginner and intermediate users of the language.

Designed to take full advantage of the limited time a learner can devote to study, English Now! focuses on developing the communication abilities and everyday language skills.

The complete English Now! series is based on the Communicative Language Teaching and the Lexical Approach. Each unit was developed by first setting specific communicative goals appropriate to the level.

  • A1: Students learn interesting, culture-oriented facts about Great Britain and British people. All the basic topics are covered – family, time, food, free-time activities, work, holiday, etc.
  • A2: The material covers topics such as physical appearance, clothes, weather, places and locations, illnesses and accidents, sports and free time, etc. In this collection students will learn what’s life like across the ocean – this time the main focus is on the US.
  • B1: Students can already talk about simple life-based situations and it is a great opportunity for them to make more effort, learn more advanced vocabulary and structures and become a more fluent English language user. In this course students will learn about people – the differences and similarities between them. The material also covers hopes and dreams, apologies, travels etc.
  • B2: This collection fully covers the material at B2 level and is dedicated to more advanced English language learners. It covers six different topics, including: strengths and weaknesses, regrets and consequences, telling stories, instructional manuals, collecting and presenting data.

While designing English Now! we have put great emphasis on varied adult-oriented content as well as tasks testing listening comprehension skills, while making the experience easy and entertaining.

The course comprises three types of lessons for each topic and offers a variety of multimedia, vocabulary, grammatical and lexical resources that support the contextualised learning approach and help learners quickly implement English in real life conversations.

3 different types of lessons:

  • Learn & Practise  – the material is divided into two parts: A and B. Both parts introduce the main subject of the unit.
  • Revise & Practise – for independent learning and revision with lots of exercises and imaginative tasks
  • Survival English – ‘mini course within the course’ for optimal preparation for authentic encounters. These lessons can be taken in any order – exactly when a certain topic is relevant.
