Why Attend The WCAG Essentials Webinar?
This webinar will offer valuable insights from industry experts on how to integrate accessibility into your digital educational materials seamlessly.
We will cover:
- Legal Perspectives: Understanding the implications of WCAG 2.2 compliance for your organization.
- Actionable Insights: Practical steps to ensure your content meets accessibility standards.
- Best Practices: Proven strategies to implement accessibility features effectively.
- Real-World Examples: Case studies showcasing successful integration of accessibility in educational content.
It’s essential to be aware of the regulatory deadlines approaching soon. By June 28, 2025, all educational publishers distributing digital content in the EU must comply with WCAG 2.2 requirements. In the UK, the timeline is even tighter, with monitoring of public services starting in October 2024. WCAG also serves as a framework in many countries outside the EU, guiding the implementation of local regulations. Penalties for non-compliance with accessibility laws may vary by country. For example in Germany, fines up to €100,000 can be imposed for failing to meet EAA standards.
